hehe, i knew this would turn into a xobx vs ps debate

. i am for the PS3 myself, its bigger badder, and its kinda my loyalty. I find it so ironic that xbox gamers were all going on about how much more power the Xbox had over the PS2, and how it was better, and now the roles are completely reversed. Its like sony got sick of being accused of having a worse console (but argueable better games) so they made a powerful 1, and MS got sick of being beatten in sales, so they made sure they got theirs out first.

So now, attacking the other console really makes us all hypocrits. My main reason for not buying a Xbox was cos i got a PS2 first, and the Xbox looked like garbage. Now the 360 looks better (altho the name is still just blatent flame bait, i mean cmon MS, 'X' 'box' and a random number all at once, u took it too far) and its online features are clearly gonna blow the PS3 away. That said, PS2 had better games, and now the PS3 is more powerful (dont argue with that,i dont care about figures, just go look at some of the realtime PS3 games compared to 360) and it looks nice.

On the good games thing i forgot to mention the jak and daxter games, which are great, and the amazingly infantile Ratchet games, which are soo fun when u need to blow stuff up. oh yeah, and Ico, and shadow of the collosus, u cant call urself a gamer if u dont find Shadow of the collosus impressive

hm......

well i tend to get ninty consoled first (cause they have more games that i want at release date)
then wait around for the others to come down in price seccondhand

fave console games......
all of the Zelda games (be it nes/snes/n64/gamecube or handheld)

alll of the res evil games on cube baring the res4
(not sure about it..hm, killing in-bread hicks rather than zombies....might just become tempted to grab a shotgun and wander around my local town letting it off after a few days of that ^^)

all of the FF offline games....though, i think they should have added a second play to ffx....play thru as the boy once, then save and play thru from the girls point of view^^ (and maybe end up with a different ending.....ooh, maybe a make Seymore a good guy one

...id buy it again if they did that ^^)

as to old school.....
woo, Illusion of Time *grins* which was also called Illusion of Gaia
and its pal only second..Terranigma....

and x-box.....MORROWIND!! the game of the year edition ^^

*see, i have the pc version,but my prosessor wasnt up to it, even when i bought a 128 card....i used gamefaq tweeks, but after a while, i was getting desktopped at 28 min intervals 0.o
then, i realised something.....it was all the add ons i had *shame*
see, if you stick to...
1 body mod
1 signpost mod
1 set of custom armour that you *actually* wear
1 custom home....
and the rest using in game icons and textures....i could play for hours ^^*

Madden 06 for 360 and Normal consoles
Conker LIveand reloaded, yea same as first one except w/ multiplayer but still awesome
Morrowind- for pc as well

yeah, i got conker x-box too, since a copy of Bad Fur Day can set you back £50+ these days for n64 *cries*

on the up side though....if a NTSC copy of Secret of Manna (snes) is goiing for £49.99 in box with manual...how much will a PAL copy in box go for ??

ooh, and Castlvania:Symphony of the Night......Gods! but i love the music in that game......and that Alucard is kinda dishy, too *wink*

I dislike people with opinions like "The xbox sucks" or "the ps2 owns that" or better yet, "Upgrade your video card"..some of these folks just don't see the light. MS may be bad, I agree there, but the XBOX has some cool games. It's also ten times better for LAN parties with friends then a Ps1/2/3 could ever be.

Then I own a Ps1/Ps2. I love the game selection. RPGS for the win! Sleeker controller for when I want to downgrade from OMG, an Xbox S controller

And I even own a Gamecube. Yes. I own all three. Why? Games are spread across consoles, and if you want the best, get them all so you're never dissapointed. I'm a console gamer through and through, and it seems to me, witch, you're already oriented towards computer gaming.

In short, unless you can see the light from each console's position don't rip on them. It's like judging a book by it's cover. Wrong, and a dastardly thing to do ^_^

my fav games of all time are

FF7-psx (it is great worship its goodness)
sonic 2 and 3 - mega drive
Ranger X - Mega drive ( I havent played it in a while but it was awsome first game I truly completed)
Dragon Ball Z Budokai series -ps2
halo series - xbox (I find the controls beter thn the pc version)
Zelda series and metroid were fab
Alundra -psx (fantastic like zelda but I found a lot harder)

as for the x-box v sony debate. Yes the ps3 is more powerful and it has been in development since before the ps2 was released (they started creating the chip for it before the ps2 hit the shelves) and its bound to have backwards compatibility. However MS have been very smart if the rumors r anything to go by and will be releasing halo 3 on the same launch date as the ps3. i will admit i am shallow enough to by the xbox 360 just for this. however i will get a ps3 as well as MS just dont have the games that interest me and for nearly £300 spent on a console and another £50 on games it will be too expensive. and has everyone forgottent the problems with the xbox 360.
